On Monday, Florida State football QB Deondre Francois threw for 419 yards in a victory against Ole Miss in the redshirt freshman’s first ever collegiate game. Some key offensive players gave their thoughts on the performance of the young quarterback.

Tight End Ryan Izzo praised the young quarterback, and talked about his key touchdown catch to put Florida State up eight.

Wide receiver Kermit Whitfield talked about the short turn around Florida State has before it’s next game. The ‘Noles returned to Tallahassee at 4 AM on Tuesday, and will face Charleston Southern on Saturday at 12:30 PM.

‘Noles center Alec Eberle praised Deondre Francois numerous times in his talk with the media. He specifically quoted Francois’ toughness and leadership qualities. Eberle also talked about lining up next to his best friend, Rick Leonard. The duo blocked the same defender, and Eberle said the pair looked, and laughed with each other, while still blocking the defender.
