Sophomore linebacker Sh’Mar Kilby-Lane has been deemed academically ineligible for the remainder of the 2016 football season. Kilby-Lane is the second Florida State linebacker in recent memory to be ineligible due to academics (Matthew Thomas). His loss affects the depth FSU has at linebacker. Sophomore wide receiver George Campbell will miss the remainder of the 2016 season Campbell will undergo surgery on a core muscle. The wideout from Clearwater, Fla. has dealt with groin and core injuries since the beginning of his college career in 2015.
Charleston Southern may be without over 30 players this upcoming weekend due to a one-game suspension. The information was leaked by CSU running back Ben Robinson. The players are being investigated by the NCAA and have not decided when they will be suspended.

Last night, the NFL season kicked off with the reigning Super Bowl Champion Denver Broncos defeating the Carolina Panthers once again. Some former Seminoles were able to be on the field last night.
Carolina wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin returned from a torn ACL that caused him to miss the entire 2015 regular season. Benjamin caught six passes for 91 yards and scored the first passing touchdown of the 2016 NFL season. Carolina kicker Graham Gano was 2 for 2 on extra points and 2 of 3 on field goals, missing a possible game-winning 50-yard field goal with 9 seconds left.
