It’s a big recruiting weekend for Florida State basketball. Small forward Wyatt Wilkes, who committed at the end of August, is in for his official. He was the fourth to commit to the program, despite the Noles having just two seniors on the roster.
Joining Wilkes is consensus 4* forward and Georgia legacy Nicolas Claxton (Greenville, SC). Claxton has tremendous length for a forward at 6-10 with a massive wingspan, but needs to put on a ton of weight. He’ll be a stretch 4 in college. He is down to six schools: FSU, Georgia, South Carolina, Baylor, Maryland, and NC State.
The third recruit to visit this weekend is consensus top-50 center Ikey Obiagu (Decatur, GA). Obiagu has been to Florida State before. He is the best shot blocker in high school, and one of the best in recent memory. The 7-footer has a long way to go on offense, but with his size, athleticism, and feel for the game, his upside is unlimited. Obiagu has not released a final list, but is being recruited by Baylor, Kentucky, Maryland, Georgia Tech, and others.
