FSU men's basketball moves up in latest AP Poll

The 'Noles continue its climb to the top.

After a week that included two more wins over teams inside the Top 25 of the AP Poll, Florida State men’s basketball moved up from its previous position at No. 10 to No. 6. Over the six game stretch versus teams in the Top 25, FSU came out with an impressive 5-1 record and now sit at 18-2 overall.

It is the highest the Seminoles have been ranked in the AP Poll since the 1992-1993 season.

In the RPI, FSU is now inside the top 5 at No. 5 and is the top ranked ACC team. The ‘Noles opponents this upcoming week, Georgia Tech and Syracuse, are ranked No. 94 and No. 130 respectively.

Among teams in the AP Poll, FSU's rank of No. 6 is the highest of any ACC school. There are five other ranked ACC schools; UNC at No. 9, Virginia at No. 12, Louisville at No. 13, Notre Dame at No. 14 and Duke at No. 17.
