In sad news for college football fans nationwide, tonight’s national championship matchup between the Alabama Crimson Tide (14-0) and the Clemson Tigers (13-1) marks the end of the 2016-2017 college football season.
The game serves as a rematch of last year’s national title game which the Tide won 45-40. This year, Alabama looks to become the first college football team to ever finish a season 15-0 while Clemson aims to be just the second team in the BCS/CFP era to win the title the year after losing in the championship game.
