Following the Florida State Seminoles’ win Saturday afternoon, safety Derwin James had nothing but positive things to say about multiple players on the offensive side of the ball and was also proud of the way they stepped up.
“James (Blackman) is still young, he has a couple games under his belt, is getting into a rhythm and moving forward... To be an 18 year old true freshman and stand in there taking those hits, getting rid of the ball, making those checks... I take my hat off to you.”
Derwin says a great week of practice and players not dwelling on last week’s loss contributed to their performance against Duke. His focus now turns to stopping reigning Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson of Louisville, who he is excited to play against after missing last year’s game with a season ending injury.
Derwin James gives his thoughts on the Florida State Seminoles Football defense and the running attack of Akers and Patrick.Posted by TomahawkNation.com on Saturday, October 14, 2017
