Florida State opens as a 5.5 point favorite vs Syracuse

And it’s quickly trending down.

The Florida State Seminoles will host the Syracuse Orange this weekend for Parents Weekend. FSU is coming off arguably the worst loss of the Jimbo Fisher era while Syracuse is wrapping up their bye week. FSU opened as a 5.5 point favorite with the line quickly dropping to its current value at 3.5 points.

The opening line suggest that FSU is just under a field goal better than Syracuse on a neutral field and one has to wonder if Vegas is devaluing a team that’s already beaten Clemson at home and nearly beat Miami on the road despite four offensive turnovers.

FSU is desperate for a better performance offensively after scoring a season-low three points vs Boston College. FSU has only 11 touchdowns in seven games and with a Syracuse team, led by rising star Dino Babers, that leads the nation in plays per game on deck; you better believe that points will be plentiful come Saturday at 12:20pm.
