Florida State is fighting to become bowl eligible and thanks to the senior leadership from linebacker Jacob Pugh they’re one step closer to their goal. With 10:52 left in the first quarter Brian Burns sacked Feleipe Franks and forced a fumble which Jacob Pugh returned promptly for a 16-yard touchdown..
It was the first of four forced turnovers on the day and when asked how Florida State was able to turn over UF so much he had this to say.
“We just started to communicate with one another and we started playing together and for each other; no matter what the outcome is, stick together.”
Jacob Pugh made headlines earlier by calling out the Seminoles’ lack of leadership earlier this year and when asked if he received any blow-back from the coaches he promptly denied it.
He also spoke about the “nightmare season” that is 2017 and what it means to him to be undefeated vs. the Gators.
