Football:

Could Derwin James win the 2017 Heisman Trophy? ESPN has him as one of five defenders (insider) capable of winning the most coveted individual award in college football:

A September knee injury ended what could have been a breakout season for James, but one of the nation’s most versatile defenders returns at full strength this fall. If James builds on an extremely productive freshman season in 2015 — 91 total tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, five pass breakups, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries — and finds his way to the end zone, he could generate some Heisman chatter. It would help his case if the Seminoles feature him more on special teams or offense.”

4th quarter drills in the morning; building houses for Habitat for Humanity in the afternoon; the members of the 2017 FSU football team are putting in work.

Rising sophomore offensive lineman Landon Dickerson was named to the ACC’s All-Academic team.

Jacques Patrick excited about the opportunity to replace Dalvin Cook.

Recruiting:

With Junior Day fast approaching the race to the top of the rankings for #Tribe18 starts now.

5-star RB commit James Cook was surprised to see Jimbo Fisher at his 7 on 7 event. (VIP) NCAA rules allow a head coach to attend events in which his son(s) is/are competing. Attend as many as you want Trey.

FSU has offered the top ranked recruit of the 2019 class.

Kohl’s 2nd ranked punter in the nation will be joining #Tribe17 as a preferred walk-on. Iron sharpens Iron:

Basketball:

After dominating NC State FSU fell on the road to Notre Dame this weekend.

There’s no shame in losing to a top 25 (kenpom) team on the road; but the Noles’ Free Throw shooting could cost them in March.

Baseball:

Welcome back FSU Baseball; you’ve been sorely missed as the Seminoles hosted fan day this past weekend.

Two Seminoles made D1Baseball’s preseason all-american list as four Seminoles made NCBWA’s list.

Some unfortunate as third baseman Drew Mendoza will miss time with an injury:

Alumni:

Former FSU running backs coach Eddie Gran talks about his time at FSU, how relentless Jimbo Fisher is, and what it was like to recruit Devonta Freeman.

If a NFL team wants a corner-back that plays the run & the pass equally well then then should look towards the real #DBU:
