Florida State added their second defensive end commit of the day when Orlando (FL) Jones 4-star weakside defensive end Stacy Kirby committed to the Seminoles Saturday afternoon. Kirby was on campus attending FSU’s Junior Day when he informed Coach Fisher and his staff that he was ready to be a Nole.

Kirby, a composite 4-star blue chip recruit, is ranked as the 11th best defensive end in the country and 42nd best player in the state of Florida in the Class of 2018. He sports a 6’3, 248 pound frame and recorded 65 tackles (11 for loss), 4 sacks, and 3 forced fumbles as a junior for Jones.

Kirby chose the Seminoles over Miami, Florida, Ohio State, Auburn, and Louisville, among others. He holds 25 total offers, but FSU was the first program to offer him on August 5, 2015. In addition to the early offer, Kirby attended FSU’s spring game in Orlando last April and has been considered to be a strong FSU lean for some time.

Kirby’s commitment follows today’s earlier commitment of 3-star defensive end Kayode Oladele. The Seminoles now have four defensive players, and eight players overall, committed to #Tribe18.
