Following a road loss this past week at Pittsburgh, Florida State men’s basketball fell in the AP rankings from No. 17 to No. 19. It is the lowest FSU has been ranked since December 26th when the ‘Noles were ranked No. 20.
The No. 19 rank is the fifth highest rank among the six Top 25 ACC teams. Louisville at No. 7, UNC at No. 8 and Duke at No. 10 are the three highest with Virginia at No. 18 and Notre Dame at No. 21 the other ranked Atlantic Coast Conference teams.
In the RPI, Florida State is still up with the elite at No. 12, fourth highest in the ACC behind No. 4 Louisville, No. 5 North Carolina and No. 11 Duke.
This upcoming week, Florida State hosts Boston College before traveling to Clemson. The BC Eagles are last in the ACC standings, and have an RPI of 206. The Tigers RPI continues to flirt around that No. 50 threshold, currently sitting at No. 59.
