Football:

There’s only one Demarcus Walker so the best way to replace his production is by not replicating the player:

The answer, Florida State will tell you, is that they're not looking to rededicate the Mamba Mode moniker for the 2017 roster. There is only one Walker, and no Seminoles linemen will try to replace him and the 16 sacks he had last season.

"You can't really replace a certain player, because there's only going to be that DeMarcus Walker," senior defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi told reporters at the start of spring. "When Jameis left, there's only going to be one Jameis Winston. When Timmy Jernigan left, there's only going to be one Timmy Jernigan."

According to Heather Dinich FSU’s playoff plan is simple: Beat Clemson.

Playoff path: Beat Clemson. The winner of that game has gone on to win the ACC every year since 2011 -- and has been in the playoff each of the past three seasons.

Rivals.com’s Mike Farrell is also on the early FSU to the playoff train.

Early Enrollee Adonis Thomas is a natural fit for the FSU defense.

When you’re good at something, you work to be great at it. That’s the philosophy for FSU’s red zone offense.

Someone asked Nick Saban a question he didn’t like and he went off.

Recruiting:

FSU’s 2019 DT commit Lloyd Murray is a beast:

High 4-star 2019 DT, Antonio Alfano is planning on being at FSU’s spring game.

High 4-star, possible 5-star QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson is down to 7 and FSU made the cut:

The Florida State Seminoles are looking to sign at least three talented wide receivers in 2018. One of their top targets at the position is Greensboro (NC) NW Guilford four-star Tre Turner.

FSU has been recruiting Turner throughout the offseason. This weekend he’ll make his first ever visit to Tallahassee.

“I want to see the facilities, meet the players and coaches and check out the academics,” Turner told Ryan Bartow of 247Sports.

Turner and his mother will be on the trip together. It’s something the two of them have been thinking about for nearly a year. FSU first offered Turner back on March 30th of 2016.

“We’ve been talking about this since I first got the offer and now the visit is going to happen, so we’re just going to see how it goes. It’s a big visit.”

FSU could make a big move for the bluechip athlete this weekend.

Other Sports:

Dwayne Bacon has declared for the NBA draft. A prolific two-year scorer for the Seminoles Bacon is currently projected as a 2nd round pick.

FSU’s admittedly frustrating free throw shooting is a sore spot for fans but did it ruin the season?

Dalvin Cook caught passes and took handoffs from Jameis Winston in college; how do you top that? By catching passes and taking handoffs from Aaron Rodgers in the pros. Mel Kiper has Dalvin Cook going to the Packers in his latest mock:
