Football:
It’s no secret that Deondre Francois took a bunch of tough hits last year but his Head Coach, Jimbo Fisher, feels that far too many of them were unenforced cheap hits.
All the injuries came from late and cheap hits,” Fisher said recently. “If we don’t emphasize the hitting on the quarterback, we’re nuts. I mean, I’ve got ‘em on film. After the second step was in the ground, he’s made contact on. It’s supposed to be an automatic penalty. It’s got to be an emphasis. They’re vulnerable.
Every College Football Playoff contender has issues to fix from FSU’s O-line, to Ohio State’s Wide Receivers to Alabama’s thermal exhaust port in its Death Star.
Florida State’s workout warrior is Ryan Izzo?
One major key for FSU this off-season is replacing all the production that left at Wide Receiver.
Are you a Booster? Then Jimbo Fisher may be coming to a tour stop near you very soon.
Recruiting:
One of the best wide receivers in the country from out of Alabama, Justyn Ross, took a visit to FSU yesterday.
“I want to learn where they are going to be with their quarterbacks,” Ross said. “I want to know their current quarterback situation and what it looks like for the future if I was to end up there.
“That is pretty important to me,” Ross said.
FSU commitment Charles Strong also took a visit to FSU yesterday.

Alumni:
Anquan Boldin is headed to DC but not in the way you think; the Pro-Bowl wide receiver is pushing Criminal Justice Reform in the Senate this week.
Following his impressive Pro-Day workout; Dalvin Cook had a private workout with the Philadelphia Eagles. This is their 2nd reported private meeting with Cook reminiscent of their previous behavior last year with Carson Wentz leading credence to the idea that he could be their selection on Thursday night in the upcoming NFL draft.
