Florida State has recruited the DMV (DC Metro, Virginia, Maryland intersection) area very well under Jimbo Fisher & now they’ve struck gold again. 5-star Cornerback, Anthony Lytton Jr., out of Upper Marlboro, Maryland has committed to FSU. Anthony Lytton marks the second 5-star commitment of #Tribe18 joining running back James Cook, younger brother of Dalvin Cook. Lytton is the 21st ranked overall player in the 247 composite & the third ranked corner-back in nation.
Anthony Lytton Jr. has called Florida State his dream school and they’ve been his leader since last April. The 5’11 170lb athlete has tremendous speed (10.82 100m sprinter as a Junior) & ball skills and may remind Seminole fans of former FSU 5-star CB, Ronald Darby, whom was also out of the DMV & is currently with the Buffalo Bills. Lytton Jr. reacts very quickly in off coverage, whether its tracking the ball well in the air or coming up to physically separate the ball from the receiver via brute force. Check out his junior highlights below:
As a Junior on Offense Lytton Jr. had 683 yards receiving while averaging 20.7 yards per catch totaling 13 TDs (11 receiving, 2 returning) & on defense he had 3 interceptions & 9 passes defended and a forced fumble.
Lytton Jr. marks the 10th commitment of FSU’s 2018 recruiting class which includes two 5-stars, 4-4 stars, and 4 3-stars prospects.
