The Florida State baseball team (32-18, 11-12) kicked off its final series of the regular season in Dick Howser Stadium with Wake Forest (33-15, 15-9) on Friday. After the game was delayed in the middle of the fifth inning with FSU trailing 4-2, the opener will be resumed Saturday afternoon just after 3 PM.
The challenge against the Demon Deacons will be a tough one as they have the most homers in the country entering this weekend, 82, with five different players who have hit 10 or more this season. The series is also a must-win to retain any chance of hosting a regional come NCAA Tournament time.
