Florida State took care of business against Notre Dame on Wednesday which has now put them in a position to advance to the semi-finals on Saturday. With a win today against the Cardinals, FSU would advance to play Duke after their defeat of Virginia yesterday. Today’s contest is a rematch of last Friday’s pitching matchup in which the Noles were victorious.
Sophomore Tyler Holton will throw for FSU, and Kade McClure will pitch for the Cardinals. Holton was exceptional against the Cards, striking out 11 in 8 innings while allowing only a single run. McClure had a strong outing as well, giving up no earned runs across 7 innings.
As mentioned earlier if the Noles win today they play in the semi-finals against a Duke team that they have not seen this year. The game would be played on Saturday starting at 1PM, the winner advancing to the finals, Sunday at noon.
Other games today include:
Miami vs Wake Forest - 11AM
Clemson vs Virginia - 12PM
NC State vs North Carolina - 7PM
