A mere two weeks ago, the question wasn’t if Florida State would be hosting a regional, rather if Florida State would be heading to a regional at all. After starting the season 27-18, the ‘Noles wrapped up the final 14 regular season games on a 12-2 streak, including an ACC Tournament Championship. FSU, which outscored its opponents 117-55 over those past 14 games, enter the NCAA Tournament red hot and have been awarded for their perseverance and success.
For the seventh consecutive season, and the 19th season in the past 21, Florida State will host an NCAA Regional Tournament. Over those past six seasons, Florida State has a combined 15-2 record, advancing to the super regionals in five of the six seasons, sweeping every time the team advanced.
Florida State will learn of it’s fellow participants in the Tallahassee Regional on Monday afternoon. Regional Tournament play will begin on June 2nd.
