Fresh off of retuning to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in a half decade after a 26-win season, the Seminole men’s basketball program notched another victory late Tuesday night, gaining the verbal commitment of shooting guard Devin Vassell, FSU’s first verbal pledge from the class of 2018.
Vassell, who boasts great initials, measures in at 6’5 and is from Suwanee, Georgia’s Peachtree Ridge High School. He was offered by the ’Noles on April 19 before pulling the trigger for Florida State on May 2.
In addition to his offer from FSU, Vassell also has offers from Texas Tech, North Florida, and Stetson.
Vassell will be part of a group of newcomers who seek to replace talented departing players like Jonathan Isaac, Dwayne Bacon, Xavier Rathan-Mayes, Michael Ojo, and Jarquez Smith. Presently, Vassell is not ranked, but we’ve included his commitment tweet, which you may peruse in the space below.
