The state of Florida played the worst game of hide and seek ever with a terrible hurricane. It didn’t go well. Millions without power, billions in damage, and months of work ahead for many communities to recover.
And then there’s college football. Miami wasn’t able to return to practice at home, instead deciding to prep for this week in Orlando. Florida State heads into week 4 with an 0-1 record. Yeah, that makes for a very odd season. Don’t play for couple weeks and people forget you exist.
The ‘Noles enter into what feels like a second season. Call it After Irma. Florida State will be without Deondre Francois after his season ending injury in week one. So yes, with a three week interim and a new QB under center, we needed to adjust expectations.
The good news is FSU resumed a normal schedule this week and true freshman QB James Blackman has had extra time to mesh with the ones. The team is anxious to play. Fans are more than ready to see what lies ahead for the ‘Noles After Irma.
