Auden Tate’s status was in doubt leading up to Florida State’s matchup against Wake Forest but when with the game coming down to the wire, he erased that doubt on his own.

"That was just winning time, I felt like I needed to be out there at that point,” the junior said. “It's just win or go home right there. I didn't want us to start 0-3 and I didn't want no regrets at the end of the game so I just went in."

"I was in a lot of pain, at first I really didn't know if I was going to be able to go. Pain just happens, but you know, we got through it."

Tate registered two catches in the game, a 7-yard grab and then, of course, the game-winning 40-yard catch.

“I don't really know how to describe it, I'm at a loss for words,” he said of his diving grab. “It was just a post route, and J-Black going through his reads and he saw me at the last second and put the ball exactly where it needed to be.”
