Five star wing Samantha (Sammie) Puisis of Mason, Ohio committed to FSU last night. The 6’2 Puisis is ranked #12 overall by ESPN in the 2019 class. She picked FSU over Xavier, Ohio State, Michigan State, Arkansas, Wisconsin, Purdue and many others. Puisis averaged 16.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.9 steals last year as a sophomore for Mason. Puisis is an elite shooter. She shot 46% from the field, 50% from deep and 88% from the line during her sophomore year. Shooting like that will likely transfer well to the college game.

Puisis joins post player River Baldwin (#17 overall) in FSU 2019 class. Baldwin is currently rated as a 4* but will probably be elevated to a 5* when the final rankings are published.

FSU’s 2019 class is already off to a great start with Puisis and Baldwin and that is in addition to the 2018 class that already features 5* Izabela Nicoletti (#4), 4* Morgan Jones (#27), 4* Kourtney Weber (#28) and top 50 talent Amaya Brown. Also, FSU is not finished with either class.

Simply put, this is elite level recruiting. If FSU is able to hold on to all of those players the 2018 class is at worst top seven and could be higher if more recruits are added. The 2019 class with only Puisis and Baldwin is top 15 quality at worst and could end up top 10 with only those two commits. FSU is on a serious roll on the recruiting trail.
