Recruiting:

According to Luke Stampini of Florida247 AJ Lytton has been the top DB so far at the event.

CB Anthony Lytton: The Florida State signee was excellent in coverage on Saturday. The 5-foot-10, 175-pound prospect stayed attached to his receivers, and recorded a couple of pass break ups. The Upper Marlboro (Md.) Dr. Henry Wise product’s highlight play was when he jumped up to knock down a fade near the goal line.

Bud Elliott has the scoop from the first two days of Under Armour All-America Week including a few notes on a few key FSU targets.

Bud went into detail on more FSU related interests here. Should Willie Taggart hire Grey Frey as rumored 5-star Offensive Tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere will become a big target for FSU.

4-star DB Brendan Radley-Hiles is ready to commit; Oklahoma is the favorite at the moment.

AJ Lytton isn’t the only 5’10 corner excelling that’s signed to FSU; Asante Samuel, Jr. continues to be a dog and he says that #Tribe18 isn’t closed to being done.

Florida State defensive back commitments Asante Samuels Jr. and Anthony Lytton both had a great first day of practice. The two are similar in stature but a little different when it comes to their personalities. Samuel is a dog, he barks like one too. Lytton is a dog, but a little quieter between plays. Overall, both looked as quick as anyone out there and played with excellent anticipation.

Samuels and Lytton were tested and made plays when the ball was thrown their way. Samuels nearly jumped a route in the slot that would have gone back for six. Lytton made a great play on a fade route in the back of the endzone. It looked like the quarterback was going to be able to drop it in, but Lytton accelerated and batted the ball away at the last second.

Football:

In case you missed it Demarcus Christmas is returning for his senior season; that’s huge.

Bowl recap, coaching search, mailbag; the latest Nolecast has it all; expect more answers for the unfilled positions on Willie Taggart’s staff this week.

Whomever the next DB coach is will have some uber-talented pieces to work with.

Basketball:

Women’s Basketball crushed their tobacco road opponent this weekend; UNC.

FSU Basketball will likely fall out of the top 25 rankings today following the loss to Duke. That’s a mistake; a team that competes that well with this year’s Duke team in Cameron Indoor Stadium is categorically one of the 20 best teams in the country in my opinion.

How about this game-winning touchdown from Jameis Winston:
