Recruiting:
It was a huge recruiting weekend for Florida State and Willie Taggart’s newly finished staff did not disappoint.
Nationally ranked four-star linebacker Xavier Peters flipped to Florida State and shut down his recruitment. Peters’ height, weight, speed, athleticism combo is rare.
Four-star defensive lineman Dennis Briggs, Jr. chose Florida State over Miami despite the availability of playing time in UM’s front seven for 2018.
3-star offensive tackle commit Jalen Goss loved his visit to FSU; he’s solid.
So did 3-star wide receiver commit D’Marcus Adams and the focus is now on finding him some position teammates. (VIP)
3-star defensive end/tackle Jamarcus Chatman was blown away by his visit to FSU; he’s got one visit left and it’s to Miami.
Nine days away from National Signing Day and FSU is in a position to close strong.
Speaking of National Signing Day there’s not much drama left now that most of the elite kids have already put pen to paper.
Football:
Florida State will still be one of the most talented teams in the country in 2018 but don’t be surprised when they’re routinely ranked outside the top 25 in preseason rankings this year.
This is a true and disturbing trend; it’s no longer news now that Deondre Francois was the one was aggrieved and accosted and not the other way around:
When FSU QB Deondre Francois was accused of domestic violence, it was a big story. When the investigation was dropped due to insufficient evidence, not so much. https://t.co/3knv8VeUcv

Other Sports:
Basketball overtime thriller over Miami was a huge win. Especially in regards to this team’s future in March.
Unfortunately the biggest weekend in FSU basketball history did not end well b/c Women’s Basketball ran into the buzz saw that is Notre Dame.
The first practice of the season is in the book for your preseason No.3 Seminoles Baseball team:

Alumni:
There were plenty of Seminoles at this year’s Pro-Bowl and they showed out. Led by Telvin Smith whom led the game in solo tackles with 8.
Super Bowl Sunday is six days away and Florida State alumni will have a huge effect on the game’s outcome; more so than almost any other University save Arizona. Huh?
