A 1-1 week against ranked foes was enough to keep the Seminoles near the bottom of the Top 25.

The Florida State basketball team reaped the rewards of a home win over No. 12 North Carolina in this week’s Associated Press poll, rising one spot from No. 24 in last week’s rankings to No. 23 in this week’s, which were released Monday afternoon.

The Seminoles rose one spot after a 1-1 week which saw them lose at No. 15 Miami on Sunday after defeating the Tar Heels on Wednesday.

After not appearing in the AP Poll in each of the first five weeks, this marks the fifth consecutive week the Seminoles have been ranked.

In the USA Today Coaches Poll, FSU remains the first team out, receiving 48 votes this week after garnering 50 a week ago.

FSU’s 1-2 start to ACC play has been hindered by two tough road games in the early stretch. Luckily for the ’Noles, they return home this week, where they have a 28-game win streak, to take on two visitors, Louisville on Wednesday and Syracuse on Saturday.
