Kickoff time will be at noon on October 27 vs. Clemson on ABC or ESPN (network to be finalized on Oct 20).
In recent years this game has been played almost exclusively in prime time as FSU and Clemson have battled for a spot in the ACC title game. However, as FSU fans know, the Seminoles aren’t what they were in 2013 and Clemson will be heavily favored when they travel to Tallahassee.
It isn’t all doom and gloom, though. Despite being severely outmatched the previous two years, Florida State has played Clemson close with opportunities to win on both occasions.
Led by freshman quarterback Trevor Lawrence and a monstrous defensive line, the Tigers are undefeated and ranked third in the nation. It would take a historic effort for the Seminoles, currently 3-3 and fifth in the ACC Atlantic, to upset this Clemson team. But, while a noon kickoff isn’t ideal for tailgating fans, it could play in the Seminoles favor as the Tigers will be coming off of a tough battle for pole position in the Atlantic.
