Before Florida State headed down to Miami it looked unlikely that Derrick Kelly would suit up fro the ‘Noles. Instead, it was OL Landon Dickerson who would be held out of the action while Kelly got the chance to play a rival one last time.
“It felt good to get back out there,” Kelly said. “This being my senior year it was my last time against Miami and I definitely wanted to be out there on the field playing against those guys.”
Kelly has been dealing with a leg injury that has caused him to miss time, but with a bye week to heal up, Kelly was listed at the starting LT on this week’s depth chart and expects to play against Wake Forest.
“My leg feels way better, man,” Kelly said. “I’ve been able to actually take time off and strengthen it up and be able to get a lot of movement back on it. I definitely feel like my leg is ready to go.”
