The Spread: For maybe the last time of the year the ‘Noles will be favored against Wake Forest. Opening up at -10.5 the line moved a bit towards Wake and then back to FSU sitting currently at 10.5. Check out the rest of your college football spreads here.

Unable to hold on against Miami Florida State returned home to deal with another hurricane as Michael battered the panhandle. The Seminoles spent the bye week hunkering down and cleaning up instead of practicing like most teams. Wake Forest comes to town with a similar 3-3 record having lost to all it’s ACC opponents and winning all but on of their out of conference games. Of course two of those loses are to Clemson and Notre Dame with other coming against Boston College.
Wake has struggled against the run this year with their best defensive performance coming against Tulane (4.3 ypc). With any luck a week to get healthy along with another 2 weeks in the new offensive system will buoy the Seminoles with a strong ground game to help keep the heat off of Deondre Francois. However, since nothing’s ever easy once again Landon Dickerson will not be available for FSU.
On the other side of the ball Florida State will need to watch out for WR Greg Dortch as Wake’s offense runs through him by design. There isn’t a bunch out there for Wake Forest but they could very well capitalize on a few busts due to the tempo they run their offense at.
