Recruiting:

Recruits don’t react to bad gameday losses like fans; so despite the final score it was actually a pretty good recruiting weekend for Florida State.

Florida State was able to solidify the commitment of its top-ranked commitment; 5-star CB Akeem Dent.

The outcome of the game wasn’t what he was hoping for, but there were still plenty of positives from his trip.

“It’s been good,” Dent told Noles247. “I see I can play, now. That’s a plus. That’s like five or ten pluses, you can’t take that away.” “I know the situation of what’s going on. It’s his first year, you can’t really put that on him. They’re trying to make things happen with what they got right now. You can’t really charge that to anybody.”

What is Dent’s current commitment status with the Seminoles? “Strong. Still strong,” Dent said.

Four-star qb commitment Sam Howell reaffirmed his commitment to the Seminoles as well.

“I feel like I can be. I think I’m going to come in here and do whatever it takes to help this team win. I feel like I can definitely help this team win,” he added. “I see a lot of similarities to what coach Taggart runs to what we run at my high school. I think I can come in and run the offense pretty well.I’m looking forward to it.”

Howell’s next visit to Tallahassee will be at the end of the year for FSU’s rivalry game against Florida. It will be an official visit. He says he has no other trips scheduled at this time.
