Florida State has been in a free fall since beating Wake Forest almost a month ago. Yes, the last three teams are better than Wake Forest (please ignore Wake beating NC State). However, any semblance of improvement shown in that game has vanished. Florida State surrenders a lead in the first half and that’s it. Game over. The combined scored over the last 3 games, Florida State 51, other teams 148. Just brutal.
Florida State needs recruits. Willie Taggart needs to go get those recruits. Taggart needs an off-season to evaluate coaches and players. There needs to be a talent and attitude infusion. Florida State needs all the practices it can get. A bowl game would be helpful for the development of the players and staff. The problem is, a bowl game is unlikely. Hopefully the ‘Noles have some fight left in them and can get motivated enough to defend what is left of home field advantage. If not, well, there will plenty of time for Taggart and Co to focus on the recruiting trail.
