Willie Taggart vows to bring FSU back following blowout loss to Florida

Willie Taggart is ready to evaluate everything.

NCAA Football: Florida at Florida State Melina Myers-USA TODAY Sports

This was not the season that Willie Taggart envisioned in his inaugural year as Seminoles Head Coach. 5-7 is a rough start and Willie Taggart took to the media following the end of FSU’s 36 year bowl streak to talk about what went wrong.

Willie Taggart says starting tonight he’s going to evaluate everything with the program; starting with himself. A somewhat despondent but not broken Coach Taggart spoke about FSU not being as far off as it might seem but the fact that it was going to take hard work to get Florida State back to what it was supposed to be.

It starts with hitting the recruiting trail and finding players not deterred by FSU’s 5-7 season and finding players that want to be Seminoles and how he’ll start recruiting tonight with the contact period coming soon.

Coach Taggart apologized to the fans for the disappointing season and wants fans to keep their high expectations because this is Florida State and it’s how it’s supposed to be. Here’s a link to Willie’s full post-season discussion with the media below:
