Football:

If College Football had a march-madness like postseason apparently Clemson would come out on top; Meanwhile FSU would suffer the dreaded 12 seed-5 seed upset.

Bud Elliott and Ingram Smith are back with another edition of the Nolecast.

Stanford Samuels III and Landon Dickerson went to work in the weight room.

The Spirit Spear is making a comeback falling in line with FSU’s throwback-themed Spring Game.

Florida State isn’t the only program going through major scheme changes this spring.

Here’s how practice is going down starting next Wednesday.

Recruiting:

In case you missed it, Travis Jay has committed to Florida State.

4-star linebacker Mohamoud Diabate recently visited FSU and FSU wants him for their new ‘Flash’ position. (VIP)

“They want me to play a position called ‘The Flash’,” Diabate said. “It is basically what Brian Burns is going to be playing this year. They envision me in that position and they think I could excel in that position. I feel like I could do that as well with their philosophy on defense. I think they have a good vision with what they will do with that position.”

Diabate provided more details regarding that specific defensive role, which he said could involve a defensive lineman standing up on the edge or putting his hand in the dirt.

”The bottom line is they want speed, every down, bringing speed, bringing intensity and a certain mentality to the defense,” Diabate said. “They want you getting to the quarterback and not worrying about anything else. That really intrigues me. That is my specialty - I can do other things, I’m a really versatile player, but the main thing that I pride myself on is pass rushing because I feel that is my biggest strength. Hearing that really excited me about that defense.”

4-star WR John Dunmore was recently on campus and is already planning another visit. (VIP)

At FSU, what does Dunmore want to see?

“Basically, it’s the same thing. How their receivers do things, because I never got to see Florida State that much even though that’s my dream school.”

The Seminoles recently offered, and many feel Dunmore is leaning towards FSU.

“It’s just my dream school every since I was little.”
