Football

Willie Taggart is attracting many people to the Florida State football program with his positivity, motivation and short and sweet mantras — WWE wrestler John Cena took note, maybe.

Spring practice is among us, and so is the “Nole Drill.” Seminoles.com writer Tim Linafelt wrote that it requires the ball-carrier to find their way through three levels of blockers: OL vs. DL, TE vs. LB and WR vs. DB.

He shared a video of Zaquandre White running through the drill yesterday during practice.

The Tallahassee Democrat’s Wayne McGahee III also shared 10 minutes of highlights from Wednesday’s practice which you can check out here.

Recruiting

FSU has offered class of 2020 inside linebacker Noah Sewell out of Saint George (UT.) Desert Hills High. He is a four-star player and the No. 1 overall player in the state of Utah and teams have taken notice, he now holds 12 offers including Alabama, Oregon, LSU, and USC.

Class of 2019 wide receiver Maurice Goolsby out of Dunnellon High (Fla.) puts FSU at No. 1 on his current list. Bud Elliott has more on the 6’5” wide out target for the ’Noles here.

FSU signee AJ Lytton earned Player of the Year honors in Maryland, as announced by the DC Touchdown Club. Lytton, a four-star cornerback, is the No. 73 player in his class and 11th best at his position.

Other Sports

Looking to bounce back from another loss to the Gators, the Seminoles gear up for a home series against the No. 18 Louisville Cardinals tonight at 6:00 p.m.
