The Florida State Seminoles were riding a hot streak after taking two from ranked UCF in a midweek series and then winning a series against a quality North Carolina team on the road. That momentum came to a halt on Tuesday night as the ‘Noles fell to the rival Gators, making UF victorious in 12 of the last 13 games. The loss came in heartbreaking fashion, 1-0, behind another excellent pitching performance by Andrew Karp. To make matters worse, FSU found out they would be without their center fielder, JC Flowers, for 6-8 weeks with a broken jaw.
Hopefully, FSU can get back on track against an up and down Louisville team this weekend.
