FSU baseball continues to fall in polls

Going 0-3 does not, in fact, help your position.

Florida State had a big chance to build their resume by hosting 4 games against ranked teams but a rain out and 3 losses turned their opportunity sour as FSU lost it’s 8th straight against Florida and dropped both games to Duke. The Seminoles are struggling right now and need to figure out how to end their 5 game losing streak and stop their slide in the polls.

Noteworthy

  • Florida State wasn’t the only ACC team that struggled this week. Division mate Clemson dropped a mid-week game to Georgia and the 1st 2 games of their home series against Miami before rebounding in the 2nd part of the Saturday double header to net 1 win for the week.
  • With Duke’s upward movement the ACC now has 2 teams in the top 10.

FSU dropped from 9th to 17th in Baseball America’s poll.

FSU dropped from 10th to 18th in the NCAA Coaches Poll.

Florida State is back in action hosting 2 games against Stetson Tuesday and Wednesday before traveling north to take on Boston College over the weekend.
