(6) Florida State (47-10) will welcome Jacksonville State (33-23), Auburn (40-15) and Kennesaw State (39-15) to the Tallahassee Regional. Because FSU has a top 8 overall seed the Seminoles will host both the regional and super regional if they are able to advance. FSU and (4) Oklahoma are the only teams not from the Pac 12 or SEC to have top 16 seeds. Notre Dame was the only other ACC team to make the tournament.
The Tallahassee Regional will begin with the Auburn vs Kennesaw State game on Friday at noon at the Seminole Softball Complex. Florida State and Jacksonville State will follow at approximately 2:30pm or 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game. All regionals and super regionals follow the double-elimination format.
If the Noles were able to advance they would play a Super Regional in Tallahassee against the winner of the Baton Rouge Regional. If the seeds hold true that would be against (11) LSU (41-14) which would be a rematch of last year's Super Regional in Tallahassee that the Noles lost in disappointing fashion after winning the first game.
