2 extra inning walk off home runs propelled FSU to a 2-1 weekend over NC State and as such the Seminoles jumped the Wolfpack. Florida State has been grouped with NC State and Virginia in the ACC tournament so the Seminoles have a chance to separate themselves from NC State even more.

Noteworthy
- Georgia took a big leap in the polls by taking their home series against Arkansas 2-1. Arkansas dropped 2 spots for losing that series.
- Oklahoma State had a chance to jump into a regional host by facing Texas Tech at home for 3 games but couldn’t win any of them as their pitching struggled all week.
- Florida finally lost a series and they got swept at un-ranked Mississippi State. The Gators didn’t drop at all in the polls but they probably shouldn’t considering how strong they’ve been all season and the fact that they really weren’t playing for anything this last weekend.
FSU in other polls
Florida State also climbed just 1 spot to 13 in Baseball America’s poll.
The ‘Noles also moved up 3 spots to 11 in the NCAA Coaches’ poll.
Florida State enters the ACC tournament paired with Virginia and NC State and will play Tuesday (UVA) at 3 PM and Friday (NC State) at 7 PM. The winner of that pool will play either Duke, Louisville or Wake Forest for a trip to the ACC Championship game. Here’s a bracket that clears none of that up, however all games will be available on the ACC Network Extra here.
