Football:

Athlon Sports ranked the top 50 running backs in the country and FSU is the only ACC school with a player ranked inside the top ten (Cam Akers) and an additional player ranked inside the top 50 (Jacques Patrick). When you look at the production of those two and an emerging talent like former five-star Khalan Laborn; it’s hard to imagine a better group in the ACC.

Starting offensive tackle Josh Ball is no longer listed on Florida State’s roster.

FSU’s current over/under win total is 7.5; even Bud thinks that is too low.

Florida State checks in at No. 23 on 247’s Summer Top 25.

Recruiting:

The defensive line recruiting board has been updated.

Speaking of defensive lineman four-star defensive end Derrick Mcclendon is expected to be on campus this weekend:

He could be the next member of #Tribe19.

Sam Howell is ready to compete in the Elite 11 finals.

Other Sports:

Florida State will host the mighty Purdue Boilermakers in the annual ACC/Big Ten challenge:

Jon Rothstein is really high on Florida State; he has them at No. 14 in his pre-season poll.

The Seminoles are ready for another run towards Omaha:

Softball dropped a late lead to UCLA in its first game of the women’s college world series.

Alumni:

Billy Allen’s kick return is the latest entry in the top 100 FSU plays of all-time.
