Recruiting:
Check out these video highlights of four-star quarterback commitment Sam Howell slinging it this past weekend.
FSU extended several offers following its Big Man Camp. 3-star offensive tackle Charles Cross was particularly impressive.
About an hour after the camp concluded Cross tweeted the news that he was offered by FSU.This summer Cross has also participated in camps at Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Memphis and now FSU. Does he have a leader?
“FSU is at the top - it’s FSU,” Cross said with a big smile. “I’m learning a lot about them, this is my first visit, so I’m just taking it all in.”
FSU offensive line coach Greg Frey spent a significant amount of time with Cross. He was there to greet him and was at his hip all the way until Cross got in the car to leave campus.
Cross really fits what Frey is looking for in his offensive tackles: long, somewhat lean, athletic & with the frame to add weight properly as they develop.
3-star defensive tackle commitment Tru Thompson was on campus again and Bud says that it was the best he’s ever seen him look.
Florida State also impressed another offensive tackle, three-star Georgian Jeremy James.
Offensive tackle is a big position of need this recruiting cycle.
Football:
For Willie Taggart this past Father’s Day was a little bittersweet.
That’s three former five-stars (two composite) in one unit:

Other Sports:
Some awful news for Florida State Baseball as junior college commitment Zach Attianese and his father were killed in a tragic car accident.
“Our prayers go out to Zach’s mom Natalie and his sisters, Ashley and Sabrina, as they endure this heartbreaking tragedy,” said legendary Florida State University head coach Mike Martin, the winningest head coach in NCAA Division I baseball history. “Zach was a wonderful young man with a bright future that was sadly stripped away. Zach was excited about coming to Florida State and he will forever be a part of the Seminole baseball family. We will continue to have the Attianese family in our thoughts.”
