FSU softball is in the midst of an incredible postseason.

After dropping the first game of their College World Series against UCLA, the Seminoles rebounded with four straight wins en route to a bid in the national championship series versus Washington.

Part of the Seminoles’ success is the play of senior Jessie Warren. She has been fantastic for Florida State in the postseason, hitting a clutch home-run in FSU’s previous game versus UCLA to get the Seminoles to the national championship.

In Game 1 of the national championship series against Washington, Warren made another amazing play.

In the bottom of the seventh inning with FSU clinging to a 1-0 lead, Warren made a diving catch that turned into a double-play. In the blink of an eye, Washington went from having zero runs and the scoring run on base to two outs.

Florida State would go on to win the first game of the series, getting one step closer to a national title. The second game of the series is scheduled for Tuesday, June 5 at 8:00pm.
