Another edition of the Nolecast has arrived with Bud Elliott and Ingram Smith contemplating what life would be like inside the SEC & ACC Coastal. FSU’s current win total is 8.5; what would it be if they had Miami or Florida’s schedule. 9.5? Maybe 10? What do you think.
If FSU wants to eclipse that 8.5 barometer they’ll have to navigate some fairly tough position groups to do so.
Phil Steele thinks that FSU’s DB’s are the 13th best group in the country (Insider) despite all of the upperclassman it lost to the NFL or graduation.
Florida State has three entries on this list of top ten BCS title games; at least the best one ended the right way for the Seminoles.
49 days away from FSU Football ESPN put together 50 things to look forward to in the 2018 College Football season.
5-star DB commitment Akeem Dent is locked into FSU.
“I committed to Florida State about a year ago and I’ve never looked back,” Dent stated. “They were the right school for me because they always have a great defensive back on their team, and I think I can be that type of guy one day for them.”
”I committed to the previous staff and Jimbo Fisher, but I have a great relationship with the current staff and we keep in touch all the time by text,” he added. “I’m tight with all the coaches on the staff, and all of them are real good people. I think I’ve been to three games at Florida State, and love the atmosphere there.”

Barring a last-minute deal Lamarcus Joyner will be an unrestricted free agent after this season and another season like last year will result in a big contract for the former Seminole:
No long-term deal is expected between Los Angeles and Rams’ franchised S Lamarcus Joyner by Monday’s 4 pm ET deadline, though the two sides continue talking, per league sources. If no deal, Joyner would be scheduled to become a free agent after this season.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) July 16, 2018
