Another commitment is in the books. Three-star offensive tackle Charles Cross has committed to Florida State University during FSU’s Saturday Night Live event. It was Cross’ second visit in as many months to Tallahassee. The 6’5 285lb product from Laurel High School in Laurel, Mississippi ranks 589th nationally, 56th at his position, and 21st within the state of Mississippi in 247’s Composite Rankings.

Cross chose FSU over offers from Mississippi, Mississippi State, Arkansas, and Auburn. Cross fits exactly what offensive line coach Grey Frey wants in his offensive tackles: long, lean, and athletic:

Good feet, good length, good athleticism; Cross is a prospect with a high ceiling and a great fit for what FSU wants to do on offense now with its run-based, power tempo attack.

Charles is the third offensive lineman to join FSU’s 2019 class joining four-star guard Dontae Lucas and four-star offensive tackle Mike Morris although he’s ranked as a defensive end.

FSU’s 2019 recruiting class now ranks 14th in the country with 14 total commitments, four three-stars, nine four-stars, and one five-star commitment.
