Following a fall camp where most reports suggested that the quarterback competition was closer than some thought it would be, redshirt freshman quarterback Bailey Hockman has decided to explore a transfer out of FSU just days after it was announced the Deondre Francois would get the nod in the opener against Virginia Tech.

The official depth chart for the upcoming game against Virginia Tech listed Hockman and James Blackman with an infamous OR in regards to the backup quarterback spot.
The only action Hockman saw with the ‘Noles was in this years spring game where he looked to be competent in the offense, throwing for 203 yards and one score.
While the Seminoles have an experienced backup in James Blackman, the departure of Hockman leaves Francois and Blackman as the only two scholarship quarterbacks on the FSU roster, a less than ideal situation for a staff that was high on all three quarterbacks.
As news about where Hockman transfers becomes available we will update the story.
