Seeking a third consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament, the Florida State men’s basketball team now knows the full path that lies ahead. Today, the grinding ACC portion of the schedule was released and based on recent performance, the home schedule looks to be quite a treat for the fans.

January promises to heat things up in the Tucker Center.

After welcoming 2018 NCAA Tourney participants, Florida and Purdue, to Tallahassee during the out-of-conference schedule (plus 2017 NCAAT participant, Winthrop), FSU will face three more on their home court during the month of January, including Miami and Duke in a four-day span.

February brings perennial contenders Louisville and Notre Dame, while March visits from NC State and Virginia Tech will bring a tournament type atmosphere.

The road slate also features several heavyweights, including a trip to the defending ACC Champion Virginia Cavaliers to kick off conference play on January 5th.

In a release on Seminoles.com, head coach Leonard Hamilton said he feels good about how the schedule sets up.

“Our home schedule brings many of the top teams in the ACC to the Tucker Center. I’ve seen all of the teams’ schedules, and the ACC teams that will play at our place in front of our fans, may be the best combination of teams playing in any arena in the ACC this season. Every team in the ACC continues to get better. Today’s ACC is the greatest group of teams in any league in college basketball ever.”

We will have a more comprehensive breakdown of the entire schedule as basketball season approaches, but for now start marking your calendars and help make Tallahassee a tough venue for opponents.
