Today, Florida State opened practice for the first time this week as the Seminoles prepare to hit the road and play against the Cardinals this weekend. The media had the opportunity to hear from OC Walt Bell, QB Deondre Francois, OL Brady Scott, OL Cole Minshew and OL Alec Eberle before practice. A scout from the Cincinnati Bengals was also in attendance.

The media did not get a chance to catch a glimpse of what the starting lineup for the OL will be on this Saturday, but check back tomorrow for more practice updates and it is possible we will have an answer to this question. The depth chart was also released on Monday and listed the same starters from the Northern Illinois game.
OL Landon Dickerson was back for the first time since the season opener against Virginia Tech. He came out in full pads and had his left ankle heavily taped. While he was back in action with the other offensive lineman, he appeared to get frustrated after a few reps did not go as well as he would have liked and he did not seem to be moving around comfortably. However, it is only Tuesday, and Coach Taggart said his first practice back was on Sunday and that his rehab was going quicker than initially expected, so this is a positive indication that he could be back sooner rather than later.

OL redshirt freshman Brady Scott appeared to be getting better technique wise and seemed to be gaining more confidence during Tuesday’s practice.
Coach Kelly was mostly happy with the wide receiver group today. WR Keith Gavin had an easy drop that Kelly was unimpressed with and he let him hear it, but Gavin redid the route at the end of the line and he caught the ball his second time through.

QB Deondre Francois appeared to become more of a vocal leader during today’s practice. Anytime one of his receivers would drop the ball, he would encourage them and let them know not to have any more drops, but to keep their heads up and keep working.
Injured/Reserved
RB Cam Akers had his ankle taped during today’s practice, but he appeared to be practicing at a full capacity.
OL Abdul Bello had a cast on his left hand, but he was participating during today’s practice.
Coach Taggart said that OL Derrick Kelly’s rehab is not coming along as fast as they would have liked and he still remains a question mark.

The DBs appeared to practice tracking balls through the air once again today and looked better than they did last week in doing so.

Safety Cyrus Fagan was sporting a non-contact jersey.
