The Seminoles are hoping that an anemic offensive performance is not indicative of what the rest of the season will look like. Offensive coordinator Walt Bell articulated his thoughts on the offense’s performance against Virginia Tech.
As Barnett mentioned, and others reiterated, there were several bright spots during Monday’s loss.
In his first collegiate game Monday night, @JaidenWoodbey had 9 tackles, 1.5 for loss, 1 forced fumble & 1 QB hurry. His tackles total tied for the most in the NCAA by a freshman in week one, and he was the only freshman in the nation with at least 1 tackle, TFL, FF & QBH #Noles

Still, the loss exacerbated some recent trends in the wrong direction.
With home loss to VT Monday night, FSU is 7-7 in their last 14 games. Worst record since going 7-7 from end of 2005 through 2006.
