Football:

Jalen Hurts could be a good fit for FSU, talented, mobile, tremendous football character but there’s also good reason for apprehension. Do you want Jalen Hurts in Garnet and Gold?

Rising senior running back Amir Rasul has put his name in the transfer portal; with the return of Khalan Laborn in addition to Cam Akers & Anthony Grant he is unlikely to see many carries in his final season.

Now’s a good time to keep track of who’s staying and who’s going with the upcoming NFL draft deadline.

Willie Taggart is being sued by an ex-Oregon player; something to keep an eye on.

FSU offensive lineman Jay Williams is now enrolled and he’s living his dream.

Recruiting:

FSU has offered three-star running Darwin Barlow; whom is committed to TCU:

Four-star DT Quashon Fuller has canceled his UF visit for a Louisville visit; that’s good news for FSU.

Four-star QB John Rhys Plumlee is a top QB target for FSU heading into NSD; and they’re set to visit him today.

“FSU did offer,” Plumlee confirmed.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound athlete then shared the latest concerning FSU.

”I have spoken with the coaches a good bit,” Plumlee added. “They are coming to see me tomorrow.”

Offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Kendal Briles is the coach that Plumlee expects to see on Friday, the first day of the contact period.

They’re also set to see four-star linebacker Shammond Cooper; whom recently committed to Illinois but his recruitment is not over.

Cooper expects to see linebackers coach Raymond Woodie, who is the primary recruiter for him and who has been developing a relationship with Cooper and his father dating back to the summer.

He also added that he believes running backs coach Donte’ Pimpleton is also visiting him, stating that he expects to see him during the day at school.

Other Sports:

Time to go inside the box score of FSU’s gritty win over Miami.
