Football:

Homecoming week ends with the FSU vs Syracuse match-up; Syracuse isn’t nearly as good as last year but their defensive line can still cause some havoc.

Governor DeSantis is on board with college athletes being able to profit from their likeness.

The playoff race is shaping up as more teams find themselves eliminated from contention.

It’s possible that Cory Durden put his foot in his mouth a little bit ahead of this contest.

The RBs & QBs had dinner at Coach Taggart’s house; as always when the football team is not very good do not read the comments:

Recruiting:

FSU needs to the hit the JUCO/Transfer portal hard to get more grown-man bodies along the offensive line; Antwan Reed is one of those bodies: (VIP)

“So far, the schools that are keeping in touch are Syracuse and Florida State along with Old Dominion and Umass are really who are talking to me heavily now,” Reed said.

With ASA still playing, Reed is not taking any visits until their season is complete.

”I plan on taking official visits after this season,” he said. “I’m just holding off on visits now to focus on the season and academics. Some school that I want to visit are maybe Michigan State, Florida State and Syracuse as of now, but I’m still considering what schools I want to take my officials to.”

Four-star running back commitment Lawrance Toa’fili is having a monster senior season; he ran for 230 yards & 4 TDs last weekend.

Other Sports:

Men’s Basketball had their exhibition on Tuesday; the women will follow suit with their only exhibition contest of the preseason this Sunday:

Coach Krikorian did not mince words about FSU’s loss to No. 3 North Carolina last night.

“We lost to a team that was better than we were,” said head coach Mark Krikorian. “I thought that they played harder and were more prepared. At the end of the day, they did the things that were necessary to win the game. Congratulations to Carolina, good win for them. We will go back and regroup and hopefully, we will get better.”
