The Florida State men’s basketball team notched their sixth consecutive win over Florida on Sunday afternoon, handily topping the No. 6 Gators in their own house. It’s the Seminoles’ longest winning streak in the history of the rivalry, which began in 1951. But since the final buzzer, the beatdown has moved beyond the court and into the Twitterverse.
FSU Hoops got the social media assault going.
Was that 6 for the straight wins over the Gators or their ranking? pic.twitter.com/vUZdvnrCF9

Former players joined in the fun as well.
Ohhh the 6 by Florida was for us beating them six times in a Row makes sense.

Xavier Rathan-Mayes was a little more blunt.
UF and FSU basketball isn’t a rivalry anymore That’s 6 years straight .. Y’all suck

Nichols, Mann, Kabengele, and XRM have certainly earned the right to troll the Gators— none of them ever lost to UF. The result was such a foregone conclusion that one former FSU player didn’t even wait until it was over to land a jab.
bout to give UF a 20 piece to start of the year haha

(This is the part where your Gator friends actually make it worse by feeling compelled to interject that they “only” lost by a dozen points.)
