Football:

The coaching search continues, and it’s looking more and more like FSU won’t find a replacement for Taggart until after the regular season. The main candidates at this point seem to be Mark Stoops, PJ Fleck, Matt Campbell, and Odell Haggins. Could there be any dark horse candidates in play? How about James Franklin?

Despite the uncertainty hanging over FSU for what feels like the past few years, it arguably remains a destination job.

South Carolina’s Athletic Director has reached out to FSU:

FSU again rises into the top 50 in SP+. Helped in no small part by Hamsah Nasirildeen and his third ACC defensive back of the week honor.

Recruiting:

FSU football recruiting coordinator David Kelly is no longer on FSU’s staff. It makes sense as Kelly followed Taggart from Oregon. Mario Edwards, Sr. will now fill Kelly’s countable coaching spot as a defensive assistant.

Four-star linebacker Keyshawn Greene continues a prestigious Wakulla legacy.

Other Sports:

Men’s Basketball rankings and early bracketology projections.

Nausia Woolfolk wasn’t just the player of the game against Samford — she was named the ACC’s player of the week.

Men’s Golf landed the fourth-ranked recruiting class.

The Cross Country team successfully defended its NCAA South Region title.

Alumni:

’Noles in the NFL: It was all the Broncos could do to keep Dalvin Cook bottled up, but they still couldn’t keep him out of the end zone. Jameis Winston and PJ Williams faced off, Ronald Darby is finally back to being his playmaking self, Auden Tate had a scary injury situation, and more updates.

Nick O’Leary’s NFL career continues:

Terrance Mann earned a game ball:
