Football:
As Florida State continues bowl prep vs. Arizona State they’re down another and their final (?) running-back:
#FSU RB Khalan Laborn had a surgery done on his knee. That leaves FSU with 0 scholarship running backs available for the Sun Bowl.

Walk-on Deonte Sheffield will likely get the call at the position for the bowl game or FSU might go full air-raid.
FSU is expected to hire Alex Atkins as offensive line coach; he’s highly thought of.
One rising star in the coaching biz is Alex Atkins, OC/OL at Charlotte (play in Bahamas bowl tomorrow). Offense had a big year. Coached in Miss JUCO circuit (Norvell recruits area heavily) and also coached same staff with new FSU DC Fuller in 2012.

Marvin WIlson hasn’t officially announced his decision yet but if he does make the jump to the NFL expect him to go highly; interior pass rush wins in the NFL:
Prior to injury, he won a ridiculous 16.5% of his pass rushes from the inside

- 26 total pressures on his 273 pass-rush attempts

Recruiting:
With Lawrance Toafili officially signed; FSU is definitively trying to get at least another running back in the fold and four-star All-American Jahmyr Gibbs looks like a good one:

The lone commitment that didn’t sign during the Early Signing Day period is Malachi Wideman; FSU hopes to get athleticism like this signed and delivered in February:

Alumni:
The Minnesota Vikings have officially ruled Dalvin Cook out of tonight’s match-up with the Green Bay Packers. He ran for 154 yards and a touchdown in the Week 2 victory by the Packers.
Other Sports:
Women’s Basketball is perfect heading into ACC play after defeating another ranked team.
Men’s Basketball came out sloppy vs. an underrated South Florida team and almost got caught slipping. The new Tomahawknation Basketball podcast discussed the game & some bad refereeing (beyond the usual level of incompetency from college basketball refs.)
Honestly, what can’t Leonard Hamilton do?
Everyone knows Leonard Hamilton can coach at an elite level…but did you know he can also sing gospel?!
